Flight Characteristics:

Experienced power throwers are best suited to maximize the high speed, yet controllably understable flight characteristics that the Catalyst offers. Although it’s the most accessible 23mm distance driver, discs of this speed are quite demanding and average to newer players may see more distance with slower drivers.

Average throwers can access extra range from the Catalyst’s understable flight, with more turnover and less fade back as power increases. Power throwers will have a useful max distance understable response from the Catalyst, with enough low speed bite to stick those long turnovers and provide shaped lines in a tailwind.

Disc type:

Distance drivers = very fast, aerodynamically shaped discs for the longest throws. Controlling the distance driver already requires some experience, skills and especially the right throwing technique - nothing for beginners.

Plastic type:

Plasma has a metallic sheen on the core plastic that makes for very unique looking discs. It is semi-gummy and has more grip than Neutron or Proton but still has the durability of them. Plasma gives the disc a slight dome which gives the disc more glide and introduces a small amount of understability. Some discs have color-shift properties.
